Winter Blues?

The winter is coming and many of you may be fearing the colder weather.  Just be smart when you run.  Obviously not everyone has or even likes using a treadmill.  So if outside, just be layered up, with the inside layer a “wicking” material.  Make sure your extremities are warm, so have gloves and a hat/earmuffs when necessary.  Then be careful – if running far, bring a buddy or a cell phone.  If something goes wrong, you can’t risk hypothermia by sitting with sweaty gear for a long time.  Also, if running in the dark, make sure you have a flashlight/headlamp or reflective material and be on the lookout for black ice.  No runner should really be alone for a long run in the dark – so please be safe and happy running!
